Bondi Is Buzzing
This week we’re shining the spotlight on Bondi now that the beach is open again and looking better than ever. Bondi is more than just somewhere to live, it’s a lifestyle. The day starts early as the sunrise breaks over the horizon, surfers paddle out and joggers start pounding the path that hugs the coastline. Hipsters, professionals, young families and downsizers all make up the fabric of Bondi and, just like the demographic, the range of property available around the iconic stretch of sand is diverse. We have 13 properties on the market at the moment across the spectrum from beach pads to glamorous family homes.
Mary Anne Cronin says, “Bondi is fabulous in the winter months, there’s a real local vibe and the beach is at its beautiful best. The good news is that investors are coming back into the market again and we’ve got an incredible range of homes on the market, all with excellent investment prospects as well as some fantastic lifestyle opportunities. The beautifully renovated family home at 1 Anglesea Street, Bondi is designed to perfection and features a gorgeous garden with a studio that’s ideal for those working from home.
This week we launched 3/42 Blair Street, North Bondi which is right across from the newly revived Seven Ways cafe hub that’s set to be Bondi’s newest hotspot. The renovated two bedroom apartment offers great value with a huge lock-up garage and a buyer’s guide of $1.1m. And if you’re looking for a knockout view, you can’t go past 9/15 Sandridge Street, Bondi with views that stretch over the beach and Ben Buckler so you can keep an eye on the surf from the comfort of home.”
Jason Pantzer recently sold 110 Murriverie Road, North Bondi prior to auction. Jason says, “The semi market in North Bondi is experiencing unprecedented demand from owner occupiers with over 70 buyers inspecting the home before it was snapped up. Investors are also looking for opportunities and we just sold an iconic mixed-use block at Seven Ways at 96 Glenayr Avenue, North Bondi. We expect prices to remain stable in the short term with the potential for an adjustment once the JobSeeker and JobKeeper payments, and the moratorium from the banks, all roll off in September.”
Our property management division has been kept very busy along the coast too securing the tenancies for five properties in Bondi last week. Head of Property Management Rachael Beadman says, “Tenants are looking for a good deal and are actively breaking leases to secure a better place to live or a more attractive rent. There are currently 600 properties to rent in the 2026 postcode, half of which are two-bedroom apartments. The median rent for a one-bedroom apartment is $570 per week and $725 for a two bedroom apartment. Winter is a great time to make the move to Bondi as there’s an oversupply with plenty to choose from as well as the chance to secure a great rent.”
This week the sales team secured the sale of 12 properties and has launched another 13 homes on the market. Take care, stay safe and keep connected.
