Ban Lifted On Property Inspections And On-Site Auctions

8 May 2020

As of tomorrow, Saturday 9th May, homebuyers in New South Wales will be allowed to attend open inspections and on-site auctions as the government lifts restrictions in response to the low number of coronavirus cases and to kickstart the economy. Safety measures, hygiene practises and social distancing procedures will remain a key part of the process as the real estate industry returns back to normal. At PPD, we will be making sure that all guidelines are adhered to from ensuring that physical distancing is maintained and hand sanitisation promoted to keeping contact records and managing the number of people entering at one time. The government recognises the importance of real estate to the economy and encourages those attending property inspections or auctions to download the COVIDSafe app to help stop the spread.

We’ve had another strong week with the team securing the sale of six properties and listing 21 new homes across the east from Potts Point to Dover Heights. Debbie Donnelley and Thomas Keenan sold 134 Newland Street, Queens Park on Wednesday for a very strong price after just 10 days of being launched on the market. Debbie says, “It was a fantastic and very speedy result for our vendors that serves to prove quality homes in good locations are attracting plenty of interest. We expect this to continue and gain further momentum with more buyers entering the market as a result of the government restrictions being lifted while remaining mindful of health and safety measures to help protect our community.”

For those unable to attend, we are more than happy to showcase available homes via video link or arrange a private inspection if required. Take care, stay safe and keep connected.
